Asafetida power has antibiotic properties present in it which help in preventing infections and it also works as an anticoagulant which helps in preventing blood clots. All you need to do is sprinkle some asafetida powder over the wound then cover it.

The mustard essential oil acts as an antibacterial agent which helps in preventing the risk of infection. Just take a few drops of mustard oil and apply it over the wounded area then cover it with a clean cloth.
Another effective remedy for dog bites is applying grounded cumin. It helps in fighting off the bacteria and also speeds up the healing process. All you need to do is take some cumin seeds & water to make a paste then apply it over the wounded area.

If you see any deep & severe wound or get bitten by an unidentified dog then you should seek the help of a physician. He will operate the wound & give you anti-biotics & rabies injection to avoid any possibility of an infection. Rabies is a fatal disease so always make sure to get a rabies infection on getting bitten by an unidentified or unvaccinated dog.
